+1 on the shifter stops so you don't bend the shift forks. I would install the T-5 and drive it like a madman. Stay off the sticky stuff, and don't use a sticky racing clutch. A "King Cobra" clutch should hold that power, and won't smack the trans so hard. If it's so stout the clutch slips - that's a good thing - and signals it's time to either back off a notch or swap to the C4. That's how my brain works, anyway.


PS: I have a fresh full manual dyno-tuned trans-brake VB non-roller C4 build with HE discs and all that waiting to finish after a project change to a different trans (500hp turbo car). Might be interested in finishing the build and doing a trade of sorts if you are.
