PP Hurricane 351W intake and custom carb
- Professional Products Hurricane intake: This intake is painted "Ford blue", and was mildly port-matched and I cleaned up the plenum a little. On a chassis dyno, this intake outperformed an Edelbrock Super Victor intake up to ~4700rpm, as tested on my new 427-inch stroker. Best current eBay price (with shipping) is right at $180 - I'll take $140+ shipping
. Add $15, and I'll include the 1" spacer that has been blended to match the plenum of the intake.
- PRC custom "HP" double-pumper: This is the carb I had originally custom built for my 425-inch motor, by PRC Carburetors, and has their customary teflon-type exterior coating (black bowls, grey/silverish base/body). This is the carb which was on the motor when it was dyno'ed at 557hp. It wasn't "bad", but DaVinci carbs provided me with one of their carbs that just worked better - so no use for the PRC. Carb is probably best for a motor making 500-525hp at the flywheel. I paid over $900 - sell for $450+ shipping
