C7TE-C 428 Heads, need some specs!
just from my own experience, heavy trucks work better with shorter strokes. Especially the way they are geared. My F-600 has a 331 FE in it, and is almost always pegged on the governer at 4200 rpm. The gearing is so low, I'd never need the torque a longer stroke could provide. I think this is why they only ever used the 429 in the big trucks instead of the 460. If this truck is gonna be at all like my F-600 I'd install a 331 or 361 (same stroke, 361 has a bigger piston) and sell that 428.
Those that say it cant be done should say so quietly, so as not to disturb those who are doing it.
