who makes the better waterpump Meziere or CSR ?

Im talkin' logevity and or dependability, Its for a street truck but it will only be driven about once or twice a week so the water pump will only be "on" for 20 min. at a time. and a 3 times per year one hour jaunt to oakland. Are these water pumps for strip use only ? how long do they last ? if I could get 4 years out of it at the rate i will use it, that is ok i guess. thanks for the help.

Hi there heres a link on the CSR pump.

http://www.csr-performance.com/tech_dept_2.html

With what CSR says about there pump I plan to use it on my 'daily driver'. Im thinking maybe 2-3 times a week tops to work and back on a 25 mile drive one way. That ought to test the theory! LOL
With your small driving schedual id say no big deal.
I think that the big worry about electric water pumps has come from the Old Moroso style water pumps Remember the electric pump that actually drives the stock pump via a cogged belt ? Ive been told that those are a big no no . that they are for racing only . I think that 'todays' electric pumps are Much more reliable through the better technology.
Anyways just my 2c
Robert

I have a Moroso electric billet pump for almost a year with no problems. I drive the truck whenever it is not raining so there are a lot of hours on the pump with no problems so far.
