Got a red top and installed it today. I was impressed!! Big difference from my old regular battery in starting power!

I've been thinking about picking one up myself. The battery I have now is more suited for a riding lawn mower its so small.

Glad you mentioned. I have been wondering. Seems to me you need a good battery to crank an engine with higher compression.

Yah it is! PLUSSSS No more acid corrosion and leaky juice rusting your battery tray. Also no issues with dead shorting your battery. They can go down pretty far and charge right up.
If you have the funds, ebay has alot of optima billet aluminum trays.
I was going to get a "Ford" script one . They dont have a pinto one yet! LOL

I just got a blue top from Summit today. Considering the shipping from other places they have the best deal out there. Mines going in an aluminum battery box in the trunk of the 69 Torino I'm working on.

I got the tray from Ebay, the Batt terminals are 24K Gold Plated Marine style, got them at West Marine here in RI.
I like the pic of the one you have, what company makes that one? Would be really cool with just the Ford on it for my application!

Both hot rods have Optima reds. Good parts and no start problems. On a race day we probably start the cars 40-50 times.
