Comp XE-274 351c 4v

Has anyone done this set up? I was wondering what I need to do a cam swap to the XE cam. the heads have been machined to accept bigger 1.5 valve springs. I have new valves. bored .30 over with trw flat tops. Is clearance an issue? If i get the cam, lifter, and springs will I be ok? I need help please

You will need to get matching springs with any cam you choose. The XE274H cam should work well for you but most likely recommended to have high performance heads/ported vs stock with that cam. If you choose to stay with stock heads, you will need to stay with the XE262H cams with the XE268H on the high side. The more you go on duration the more you have to worry about valve clearance. I'm sure someone will chime in and answer your valve clearance ?

347 Stroker, 10.6:1, Vic Jr, World Jr. heads (2.02/1.60 valves), Custom 780cfm ProSystems 4150 Double Pumper, XE284H cam, MSD E-Curve, 4.30 gears/31 Spline axles, Tremec TKO 5 Speed w/.83 5th gear ratio.

I have the 351c 4v CC heads. They should work there best at high rpm. as well as the valve train. My heads have been zero decked (not sure what they took off), Heads have been machined to accept larger 1.5 valve springs with new milodon one piece valves.
