Flashing red light on the dash of my 08 F150
I believe it is part of the security system. Anyone know how to turn it off. I leave it unlocked with the keys in it anyway. It puts a drain on my battery, not just the light but, the ss.

That LED blinking can be on for a MONTH and not drain the battery more than about a volt or a volt and a half total.
You have other issues.
I mean you're going to USED to have other issues soon as Dan is in the neighborhood and needs a new ride

My f150 had a flashing red light in the mirror once. It put a drain on my wallet.
Seriously, you can't disconnect the anti-theft without disabling other stuff like power door locks. If your battery is going dead then you have other issues.

Re: Flashing red light on the dash of my 08 F150
Could be. Didn't start at -15 degrees. Had to jump it off Falcon (five year old Walmart battery) Got it started and drove it for a while, let it run to charge battery. Came home hooked up battery tender and took three days for the yellow charge light to go off. The battery in my 2000 F150 (same truck), lasted 10 years.
If it goes dead again, I'll trade it. Same payments forever.

Just keep on leaving it unlocked with the keys in it and it'll be out of your misery in no time. Parking it on the street in a bad neighborhood may speed up the process.

How many neighbors does it take to make a hood?
