I mis-stated there Dan. Surging is what I meant, at Idle is what I last read.... My bad...

Finally had a chance to work on it more today. I re torqued the intake manifold bolts, and the surge went away. Even though it is an aluminum intake, I went to 30 foot pounds torque. Most books and intake instructions say 22-25 foot pounds. I'll do another plug check after awhile, but I believe the issue is fixed. If not, I'll start a new thread.
