Re: 1965 fairlane front end

Probably a factory service manual would have the specs. You should be able to buy those online for $50, or less. I doubt a modern Crown Vic front end would go on easily, but it could probably be done with enough fabrication. A trip to a junk yard with a tape measure may be your first stop to see how doable that might be.

Re: 1965 fairlane front end

You might get some insight over at Fairlane Club of America site, one of the members pulled body off a mid size late model Ford, T-bird I think & dropped the 62 Fairlane body on it.
Other guys have posted about Cr.Vic frontend, but I didn't follow along.
Most who want modern suspension under th 62-65 F;lanes go with Rod & Customs Mustang 11 style, or Fatman makes a complete Coil over/Rack & pinon for the F;lanes.
Do a search here too.

Re: 1965 fairlane front end

I would think the track is to wide on the Crown Vic for the Fairlane .

Iowan is correct, From the fellow who dropped 62 F;lane on a T-bird was going to use the Cr.Vic whole chassis, from his posts The front end was way to wide without major surgery.
