C4 identification

Another question for you guru's ;)
My recently purchased C4 does not have the id tag on it so i took the casting numbers hoping you can help id the year of box so i can order some parts.

On the main case D2 AP-7006-F What does this tell us?

On the servo cover DOAP-70027-A This also has R as the servo type- will this be ok for a hard shifting street/ strip car or should i get H or another servo?

Edited to add i found some round date castings one has just "5" on it and another has "13" and "2" on it. Do these give the date away?
Cheers:D

Re: C4 identification

The trans is a 1972.

"R" servo should work fine.

Re: C4 identification

Your build code should be PEF which says it is from a 351.
If you got the bell housing with the transmission it may be deeper than the 302 bell. It could have used a 164 tooth ring gear and the larger converter. You can change the bell housing to the smaller 302 unit and use all the 302 gear with it or switch to the larger 351 bell and converter and use them on your 302. There is no advantage to the larger parts.
The "R" servo is fine for any application up to 500 - 600 hp.
If it were mine I would use the stock 302 parts to avoid any future match problems.
