Cruize-o-Matic filter

I'm trying to find a filter for my '61 Starliner with a Cruzie-o-matic. I pulled it off and it's has two holes and looks like it can be cleaned, but I would like to replace it with a new one. Are these filters supposed to be replaced or just cleaned and reinstalled? Thanks.

Re: Cruize-o-Matic filter

Wash it in some form of solvent and reuse it.

It's soaking right now incase I can't find a new one. The car has been sitting for 10 years so I'm not confident in it.

Re: Cruize-o-Matic filter

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure if I should reuse it or not. I ended up finding one at a local tranny warehouse for $19. They even had a hard time finding it. I cleaned my old one up, there are no holes but some debris left over, so I'll keep it for a spare just incase.
