Have a 1976 C4 Trans with no drive in any selector. Have checked Fluid level, Manual linkage and Vacuum at modulator, all are OK. Performed control pressure - NONE! What would cause this?
Broken pump , possibly caused by incorrect converter fitting . Assuming the converter was fitted into the trans first , then trans to motor . How much freeplay was there between converter and flexplate ?
Don't know as trans is still in the car. I rebuilt the trans 2 yrs ago and it's been fine until when driving home heard a small POP and it quit. No drive in any gear. Don't have a lot of miles since the rebuild as it is in a 65 Mustang.
