cable hydraulic clutch 68 fairlane

I am installing a toploader 4 speed and a 351c in a 68 fairlane. I have found a billet flywheel and a centerforce 11" clutch setup for my tranny. Now i have to figure a way to activate my clutch. I have seen some setups that are cable and some that are hydraulic. I dunno which way to go and what parts to use. I am going to be running headers and since its a different motor and tranny i can't use the stock setup. Please help!! Thanks in advance

Re: cable hydraulic clutch 68 fairlane

Im running mustang steve cable swap stuff with fpa headers in my falcon..works great, I had to make my own firewall plate. Not sure what kind of clearance your headers offer though

Re: cable hydraulic clutch 68 fairlane

The Mustang Steve stuff is supposed to work as above
You could give Keisler a shout, i don;t think they list the Fairlane, but, when i was looking for a solution, their techy;s told me the've supplied their Hyd.cable set up for a couple of early F'lanes.
I ended up going with a GV unit, so never got into it with them
