Re: I need a radiator for 67
Have you checked locally for good radiator repair? Local parts stores and especially car club members are sources for references. They can often be re-cored and rebuilt to last for many more years for reasonable prices.
Radiators to fit Fairlanes are very common. However, the 302 is not original in that year. So, the question is which water pump yours is equipped with. Does the lower radiator hose come out from the engine on the left (driver side) or right (passenger side)?
Next - how is yours mounted? Is it bolted on each side, or does it use brackets on the bottom and top?
Last ones -
- Does your car have air conditioning?
- Does it have an auto transmission?
- Is it modified, and if so, how?
- Do you want original-style appearance, or are aftermarket styles OK?

Re: I need a radiator for 67
Thanks for the reply David...
Theres a small fracture on the bottom of the radiator where one of the lines connects.. can that be sealed up with a lead weld? I would like to keep the radiator if i can, but if not, this motor has the water pump hose on the left (passenger) side and mounting bolts on the side of the radiator. No AC, auto cruiseomatic tranny, 351 heads, edelbrock intake. Im not sure what the beast pushes for hp, so the kind of radiator is beyond me, also i dont pretend to know a lot about these things, just love to drive.... Thanks!

Yes. If the original is in otherwise serviceable condition, that would be the preference. I would do some research on local radiator shops, get references, and then take it to the best candidate to get a quote for bringing it up to snuff. Go from there.

Re: I need a radiator for 67
Josh, I have to agree with PSIG on this one, if you can get your radiator repaired then do it! You won't have the trouble of fitting a new one no matter who you buy one from. I bought a Champion Aluminum radiator for my 66 and Champion swore it would fit with no problems.....well it didn't! I sold it to a Mustang guy and it fit in his car perfect, just cause some radiator shop says there brand new Aluminum or brass radiator will fit doesn't make it so.....that thing cost me $250 all together with shroud and electric fan. I don't care for Champion since they don't know what they're talking about.
If you have to get a new radiator it's best to send your's in to some company that can match the dimensions perfectly so you know it'll bolt right in. The only place I've found that might have a good radiator is USRadiator.com, they have several for a 66-67 Fairlane with different thicknesses for better cooling in high heat. If I have to get one for my 66 USradiator is where I'm going first. Of course I'm giving them all my dimensions to make sure I get just what I want.
Personally I think your radiator can be fixed and as good as new.

Re: I need a radiator for 67
Josh,
Depending on the crack in most cases it is an easily soldered repaired fix and your back on the road.
If your car was a small block from the factory your radiator is a two row measuring 17 1/4" wide x 20 1/4" tall core size. The Ford part number found on the radiator is C7OE8005. This radiator would be 1" taller than the Mustang radiator that many after market suppliers try to faust off on Fairlane owners. They do not like to stock every application radiator so if it is close they will tell you that it will work.
Your radiator is only a two row core at 1 1/4" thick these were marginal for proper cooling when new and if you have installed speed equipment on your car it will probably not provide the cooling you will need. Your radiator could be recored with a 3 or 4 row core to gain cooling capacity but your lower tank is only 1 5/8" wide and more core rows will not fit in there. A good radiator shop can fabricate you a new lower tank to allow the use of thicker core but this will add to your rebuild cost.

Re: I need a radiator for 67
I have a 62. The rad was beyond economical repair. I searched, searched, and found a new radiator from Advanced Auto Parts from a 65 Falcon. The new rad is a tad bit smaller, but has three rows. The old (original) had 2 rows.
The hoses connected the same way, same sides, but I had to make "flange" mounts. That was not a hard thing to do. 1/2 hour I was done and the engine was running, and running right.
I still have the original, and someday I will have it rebuilt.... The new radiator is also brass. I was surprised... As I remember, there was several in Advance's ware houses. Mine came from the North Carolina warehouse. I am in New Jersey. The rad was NEW, brand new!. 135.00. No leaks, and a great purchase!.
Check Advanced Auto Parts. Find a counter guy that will take the time to search. They will probably also let you search, once they give you a short lesson of their comp system. It takes a little time to search the system.
I searched from there web site and started comparing sizes before I went into the store. The first one ordered was correct. But, like I said, search sizes first from home.
That is, if you need to replace it, or re-coreing is way too expensive. Hope this helps.
