69 Ford Falcon Help Needed

We acquired a 69 Ford Falcon that we have just put a 1969 351W in. We are wanting to run headers, but are not sure what will fit. We had been told that headers to fit a 66 Ford Fairlane should bolt right on. Does anyone have any information?

Re: 69 Ford Falcon Help Needed

I used Shelby Tri-Y's on my 351W in a '68 Falcon. They fit with no problem.

Re: 69 Ford Falcon Help Needed

'69 is pretty similar to a '68, isn't it?

I used Hooker Super Comps in my '68 with 351w and C4. Converted the P/S to manual, tho'. I don't think they ever would have fit with P/S.

On mine, I have to have the passenger side header loosely bolted to the head before installing the trans. Drivers side is no problem.

I could probably dig up a part number if you think you want it.

Re: 69 Ford Falcon Help Needed

Any help with part numbers for the Hooker Super Comp or the Shelby Tri-Ys would be helpful. We are just getting conflicting info from different companies who sell.

Re: 69 Ford Falcon Help Needed

On the Hookers the part number was 6111, on Hookers (Holley) web site it's 6111HKR.

Hope that helps a little.

Re: 69 Ford Falcon Help Needed

The '66 to '70 Falcons all had the same size engine compartment (similiar to the Fairlane). I have been told that a big block would fit without having to do any surgery.

That's a lot more room compared to the '60 to '65 Falcons.
