351 headers for 1966 falcon

hey, I was wondering what headers would fit my falcon it is a 1966 2 door with a 351w. the only thing i have is stock 5.0 shorty headers and they suck for sound and air flow. will the long tube headers for a 302 fit it because they are a lot cheaper, and easier to come by.

The 302 headers probably won't work due to the 351 being an inch taller or so..Tough to say without trying them..I believe the 66 falcon has the big engine bay so 67-70 style mustang headers might work...I have hooker 6208 swap headers for a 351W in a 65-70 mustang..They fit pretty tightly to the engine and would likely work..Try here as well Ford Powertrain Applications

thanks for the info. is there a big diference under the hood between the mustang and the 66 falcon. i thought they were prety close.

I have Shelby Tri-y's on my 351W in my 68 Falcon with no clearence problems.

Hooker Super Comps in my 351w powered '67. A little bit of a tussle getting the passenger side installed but not too bad. Would not fit if I had power steering, tho'. The assist unit would be in the way.
