Question 65 comet bumpers

Hi Guys, Does anyone know where new 65 Comet bumpers, front and rear, are available? Dearborn Classics has them for Falcons but not Comets. Will the Falcon bumpers fit? My bumpers are about a 6 on a scale of 10 so I could get them redone if I could find a resonably priced shop in the Northern California area.
As always, THANKS to all who reply!
Kind Regards, TOM

Re: 65 comet bumpers

Prices has gone up since the 80's and 90's. Average prices for re-chroming and straightening bumpters here in SoCal for Falcons run about $250-$300 each. I just had mine worked on 3 days ago and had to haggle the price from $250 down to $200. Will take a week to finish and has a 2year guarantee on the chrome.

Some shops take over a month to finish a pair of bumpers, have no guarantee with the chrome rusting or yellowing after a year, and properly straightening the dents on your bumper. Make sure to look at their work and if they re-copper the bumper for proper adhesion for the chrome. Some bumpers won't need re-copper done if it's not too rusted or pitted. Always good to ask. From what I've gathered... $200 is the starting price. Anything cheaper will be great- just make sure they guarantee their work. Good luck!!!

You may want to check with Desert Valley Auto parts out in AZ or Lenny Kellogg out in CO....they both have parts cars I believe but the shipping might kill ya. Just my $0.02 since they are out west by you
