so last November i bought myself a birthday gift. a 1966 ford falcon completely strip for about 550 with no motor or gas tank but it did have a three speed trans.....
when i picked up the falcon that day to my surprise the owner had the original seats, emblems new steering wheel and even a brand new wire harness kit.
after i got her home i started to think about what motor i should drop in her...while looking on craigslist i found a old school chevy motor head that was willing to get rid of his ford 289 for cheap.... needless to say i jumped on it..... while looking closely at the engine i found out to my knowledge the bottom end is a C code 289 but most of the top is K code. and yes forged pistions are in there along with roller rockers..... all at a killer deal of 500....
now with a killer engine i knew i had to find a new transmission and luckely for me i found another person on craigslist who had a spare rebuilt AOD trans willing to sell for cheap... now i need help finding a good torque convertor guys and some stupid motor mounts lol....
kool find, those look like regular rockers with Poly locks.....means BIG CAM most of the time....and I don't know if 65 66 stang mount work in a 66 Falcon Ford Small block, 221.260,289,302,351 and 351C all use same mounts...I have only had 1, either way Nice Fine.....some 66 GuRu's on here, have fun and enjoy the Koon......
I'm glad that there are som 66 to 69 gurus here because I'm having a hell of a time finding some front fenders. I have a pair but the front is dented. I'm so tired of looking I'm thinking of just taking it into a shop to have them fixed. I am however depicting on other a fuel cell or a regular fuel tank. This is my first real project car just to let u guys know so if I say something stupid dont bash on me haha
Not sure...but, I think you can use '68-'69 front fenders... they just have the turn signal markers on bottom front of them. The '67 has 2 scallops on the sides. You can also look into '66 Rancheros because the front half is the same as the '66 Falcons.
Here's my '67 front fenders:

no i think ill pass on that but thank you. i should be fine. the fenders arent rusted just creased inwards near the head lights. but i do have a good question, since i picked up at AOD transmission from a 80s mustang do i need a differnt torque convertor for it or will any torque convertor that fits a c4 work with it?
Nothing in your thread said lost or found or anything having to do with your title..
