need bucket seats
last spring i bought my first car, a red 67 falcon 2 door with a 170. I have a 289 with a 4 speed and 4 bbl carb out of a 67 cougar that im gunna swap in
i have been looking for ORIGINAL bucket seats from a falcon to put in it no aftermarket for me the problem is all the seats on ebay and craigslist are rusted to hell and look like they have been buried for 20 years so if ya got em hit me up please
also i want a center console for it and i was wondering if anyone knew if a mustang console would work well or at all

Re: need bucket seats
YES... they are getting harder to find. Ford used the same bucket seat frame and style on the '66-'69 Ranchero, Fairlane, Torino, and Falcon. I found out that majority of these owners have bench seats and want to switch to bucket seats. If you can find them under $300 in any condition, get them! Also... the spacers and frame rails are a must! Good luck.

Oh yeah... forgot about the Comet! Everyone who wants to turn their Coment into Cyclone would want buckets.
BTW: if you don't mind it being non-stock, Mazda 323, or MX-6 bucket seat look nice and cheap at any junkyard. You can pick them up for around $60 for a pair- you would have to play around with the frame rails and take off the head rest to pass them off as stock. I've seen some Falcons with them and re-upholstered them to make them appear stock.

Re: need bucket seats
Some of the Granadas and Fairmonts in the mid 70s era had buckets but may have a higher back rest or adjustable head rest on them. If you wanted to keep it FORD, just another idea to think about. They were not made for very many years ,so most are probably crushed in to off shore refrigerators , stoves , ect.

Re: need bucket seats
Ford Escort is another option, that's what I have. Like them much better than the original buckets I sold .

Re: need bucket seats
I always thought '64-'66 Mustang buckets should work ok in a Falcon. You can usually find a pair of these pretty reasonable at a swap meet and I don't think the repro covers are very expensive.

They do look nice and somewhat thinner, but they're getting pricey too. I've been seeing them for about the same price as the Falcon seats the original poster is looking for. What's great is that they're likely in better condition or even in a restored/re-upholsterd condition.

Re: need bucket seats
I tried some 66 mustang seats in my 64 falcon a few years back . They were to low for me , but could have been lifted up . They looked small and out of place to me , but it may have been because i never had a any thing between them . They floor shifter on the falcon was more forward towards the dash than the mustang one i believe. But they could be made to work.

Re: need bucket seats
As stated above ,for a really comfortable option & if your not stuck on a Factory build, look in the import section of your local pull a part
I found a set of Accura coupe buckets, in black with lumbar support adj, & full recline. so much more comfortable than stock & the seat rails matched up(all but dr.side front) to my stock bucket seat rail holes in floor!
Took all of 15 minutes to install & everyone has asked who made my custom bucket seats.
All for 45 bucks

Re: need bucket seats
I own a '67 Sports Coupe and did all my research on oem console~ I don't think they ever made one for the Falcon. You can use '67 Fairlane or Comet console, but it's very difficult to find a non-top loader trans console. The '64-'65 Falcon/Comet consoles work as well. I used the '63 Falcon console~ looks nice too.

Re: need bucket seats
That same console you show also fitted to the 62 Fairlanes, looks to be exactly the same as mine
2bird- If your looking for the early console, i have 2 of them, one out of a 63 Sport Coupe, & got the other off a shelve at an old Ford service center that was being auctioned off with all its contents.
both red with the finned stainless top & the one has a perfect interior insert
