I need a brake booster exploded view, pics, diagrams or anything I can get
I am sure everyone is tired of me posting about brake items, but here goes some more. I am looking for an exploded view of a brake booster for a 62-64 Galaxie. People have made reference to diagrams in the manual. I only have a manual for a 61 and it does not include this. I am told I have the Bendix style if that helps. There is a place near my house that makes rubber seals, gaskets and O rings. I am going to attempt to rebuild my booster. I won't know if I can unless I try. I will take pics and post my results.

The '64 manual doesn't show one like in your car and the '63 manual I have doesn't show one at all. I checked the '62 monterey manual and no luck either. Think it's just like a supplement thing. But here's what I got hope it helps somehow.

That is exactly like both of the boosters I took apart look like and they were diffrent types on the outside.. Same iside...

That will help a lot. I am going to give this a shot. I am not afraid of failing, but I will be disappointed if i don't try. I figure if A1 Cardone and other places can do this, I can too.

Good luck! Like you say, it's worth a try and most times it's just a couple o-rings etc.

Update. So far the booster is a pain in the butt. I separated the halves and found out why it probably wouldn't have worked. It is full of brake fluid. I can't seem to get the bellows separated from the front housing. Any ideas? I am trying to be very cautious since I do not want to tear any of the major components.

Brake clean and patience...
I might have an early Galaxie booster that's new. I'll post a pic tomorrow. Maybe it looks like yours...

Well I can not fix mine. The diaphragm is torn. You have a new booster? I would be interested in pics. If nothing else, I can go with plan B.
