Would anyone have the thickness measurement for the body to frame mounts on a '62 Galaxie? Mine look to be pathetically squarshed around 1/2" thick on the 6 donuts under middle of the body and can't find a measurement anywhere to tell if these are shot or not. I could sure use an extra 1/2" or more to get the body up and away from the frame to get my 5-speed install going again.
I don't have measurements because my car is in the shop. However, if you buy the kit for the 63 body mount it appears to be about a 1/2" higher than the original ones on my 62.
That is good news, I'll see about hassling one of the aftermarket houses tomorrow for some measurements. If they worked on your '61 they should work on the '62 as well, seems 60-62 shared a lot of common items. Thanks for the info. Hopefully this will allow me to raise the trans just a few more degrees so I dont have to hack apart the entire floor.
I have a 1961 convertible Galaxie Sunliner. I need the body to frame pad kit. Does anyone know where I can get these parts? I'm having a hard time locating these.
