Does anybody have a picture, diagram, website or any other sorce that can show me how to do the shift linkage? I'm running a 390/c6 combo. I have searched this site and found related threads but the pictures were all inactive. My manual is not much help as it only shows c4, cruse and four speed. Linkage, exhaust, fluids, timming, batery and I'm sure a few other parts and I will try to revive this car from her long hybernation.
It is a 65. It is a transplant. I bought the car with no motor or trans. Reman trany and doner moter. Starting from scrach, with the linkage. Pic's of how someone else has done it would really help me out, as I have never done this before. I have some linkage parts, but need to see if I need to get different parts or if I can use what I have.
If you are not concered with being orriginal, you might look at floor shifters and a lokar cable kick down. Do your research on floor shifters I put a B&M in mine and the best I can give it is ok, would not be my first choice again.
Here you go buddy, I finally got some pics. The linkage has 2" spacer/sleeves over the engine/trans bolts because of the difference in the C6/FMX bell housings. The rest is all factory stuff. In some places that were worn out I slid over some heat shrink so that the linkage feels nice and solid inside the car.
