Dad's new 63.5 500XL 390 4SP

I'm a new member to this forum, glad I found it!

I went down to Daytona from Jacksonville this weekend to the Turkey Run to help my Dad spend some money . We were looking for a 64 Fairlane and couldn't find one so we ened up with a 63.5 Galaxie 500XL 390 4SP.

He trailered it back to his home in Louisiana on Monday, I'll encourage him to join this forum and share some pics.

We both didn't know much about Galaxies but thought was a great looking car for the price. Any feedback about the this model year and option package would be appreciated.

Nice car and welcome to the forum!! The 63 and the 64 has a unique suspension on the front of the car it has a cam on the lower front of the a-arm that lets the front wheel flex in and out it was for a superior ride but it was discontinued after 64 because it was hard on front tires and alignment.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome!

I forgot to mention that it's a "Z" code car .

64ragtop, Dad (and the car) are little north of you in Donaldsonville.
