1963 1/2 Galaxie XL 427 R Code - Survivor

I have a 1963 1/2 Galaxie XL R code.
It is all original. It is a survivor. It has never had a repaint. It is numbers matching all the way around.
It is an original California car
It is a hardtop fastback.
It is black with red interior.
It has some significant drag race history behind it, but I won't go into detail about that until (or possibly IF) I can find the written documentation in the files that I have available.
The 427 motor and dual quad set up is original and numbers matching.
It (the car) has been stored indoors, unused, I think over 25 years.
The 4 speed transmission is original and in great shape.
It is in quite good condition, but will need some freshening up. A little interior work. Clean up the body. Stuff like that. Nothing major.
True 100% survivor.

I am in the process of sorting through a large Ford collection, and this car will take a little time for me to get out, so probably figure sometime in March. I hope around the first week of March, maybe sooner, I'll have some pictures. Maybe late the first week of February if I can get to it.

I am looking for SERIOUS offers. It's not a museum, so I've been asked to screen out the "Lookie-Loos".

Price: Somewhere in the $40K range. Feel free to come see it in person IF you are a serious potential buyer. The seller will reimburse the buyer one-way airfare to Milwaukee, WI of up to $250 if car is purchased.

nice.
I have neither the means nor desire to buy, but I for one would love to see pictures if you wouldn't mind posting them.

$40k seems high, but I don't know the history,
Best of luck,
Drew

I have a 1926 Model T Touring car, with the top bows, with motor and a 2 speed Ruxell trans, for $2200.

The 1923 Model T is a runner for $5500

OK! Give up pics of the 1926 T with the 2 speed please. To pay $5500 for a runner 23-T it would have to be in the original paint and interior for me

Just to clarify, the 26-T is in the middle of the garage near the blue 1966 AMC Marlin Fastback with the 327, and across from the 47 Lincoln, am I correct?

No. That 26 Touring is on the very end of the back wall toward the doors in the same line as that 47 Lincoln. Let me get back there around the 4th of the month and I'll unbury it and snap some pics.

That one in the center IS a runner and it is a 1923. $5500 buys it. Lots of original patina.

The Marlin is a 1966, the body is restored and very nice, interior needs some work still, and it's a loaded car with 327, factory AC, PS PB and I think PW as well. Very nice driver. Close to $5000 will buy that one.

Re: 1963 1/2 Galaxie 427 R Code - Survivor

Hi pmsjaw,

My name is Larry and I am in Australia. I am keen to see some photos of the 63 1/2 R code Galaxie survivor that I saw for sale on the Ford Muscle forum. I am a serious potential buyer and if I decide from the photos that it may be what I am looking for I am prepared to fly to the states to have a look at the car in person and buy it if I like what I see. Please Email me as many photos as you have available. Many thanks Larry

I just sent this as a private post but I am keen for you to get the message and see some photos. After sending the other one I found this reply post and thought I would give it a go as well. To be sure you got it. Kind regards Larry

Re: 1963 1/2 Galaxie 427 R Code - Survivor

Hi everyone. I am in the market for a 63 1/2 R code Galaxie Fastback. I am waiting for some information from pmsjaw on a car but that hasn't happened yet and I am keen to find a car. I would be very appreciative if anyone has one for sale or knows of one for sale, if they could let me know on my return email as soon as possible. I am a genuine buyer and want to get things happening. Don't be put off by the fact that I am in Australia as that is not a problem. I have all the contacts to take care of all the freight dealings both at your end and mine. Looking forward to hearing from someone with info. yours sincerely Larry

Thanks PMSJAW, I am new at the forum and have no idea where the reply you sent me has gone. You said PM, the abbreviation means nothing to me at this stage because of my lack of experience on the forum. But I am still interested and I would like to know what the message was. Please explain. cheers Larry

Go to the top of the page where it says "Welcome ocsid".
Below that it will say "Your Notifications".
Click on that, and you will see "Unread Personal Messages" (PMs)
Then read the personal message.

Hurray up and buy this car, as we want to see another one in Australia.
