I was always under the impression that the President was Commander n' Chief.
On the news the other day they said the Commander n' Chief was, if I remember right Tommy Franks?
What have I been missing?
President Bush is our Commander-In-Chief, Franks is the Commander of the combined forces in Iraq. Someone must have been mistaken in the media, not suprising since most of them can't use the english language correctly!
It is also good to keep in mind that in typical GWB fashion, President Bush gave the order to start ... Then turned complete control for the War over to the "Professionals"
GWB is not pretending to control the flow of the war ... Tommy Franks is controlling the War.
Something pretty dramatic would need to happen in order to get GWB to stick his personal influence into the War process from here on out ... or so it seems to me.

Look at it this way: its like having your boss (GWB in this case) tell you to perform a task, and then you do it (General Franks). It really is a pain in the ass when the boss stands over your shoulder telling you how to do your job. Its called micro-managing. Even though many may question Bush's intellegence, he's smart enought to know who to surround himself with.
