My daughter the grease monkey, part 2

I posted about my girlie-girl daughter getting a job at a quick-lube place a little while back (http://www.fordmuscle.com/phpBB/view...90&forum=2).

Well, she made her first serious mistake this week. She was working "topside" and was to fill the oil. She put the oil spout in the power steering resevoir and turned it on to dump five quarts

When it started to spurt out the top, she panicked and pulled it out without turning it off, squirting oil all over the shop (not all over the customer's car, thankfully).

They have a machine that sucks fluid out of the various components, so they emptied and refilled the P/S resevoir.

My daughter said the customer was really nice about it. Oh to be young, female and pretty - he probably would have punched me in the nose and then sued me for the whole value of the car!

Be careful where you get your oil changed!

Guess I won't go there. Does help like you say, to be young and pretty. Along with it happening to the 'right' person that didn't wack out on her. Some, probably most people, even young and pretty would not be enough. I'd be so embarrassed. But she will know for sure next time so it was a learning experience that didn't cause a lot of damage thankfully.

That story will follow her for the rest of her life.
