Never used one.... But it's VERY Sad to see an American Company go down.

I don't know if that's entirely true. I believe that a lot of his stuff is sourced from Asia.
I'm sure someone will jump at me if I'm wrong.

He is just an ol' Southern Boy who (at the start) produced a few really good racing carbs..

It went from racing carbs to "carbs for the masses"

It went from, "I'll oversee all the work myself" to "There's no way I can keep an eye on all this myself"

And as fickle as the masses can be, it went to the "Next greatest carb is"....and Barry Grant had to eat his inventory...

I've used them without any problems in the early 2000's. Still have a new 750 in the box and a couple of race carbs ready to use if I need one.

I hope he can still make a go of it....

I still believe in the Holley 3310 as one of the best carbs for street cars
as you can do soooooo much with them.

Last summer I tried using a Barry Grant Demon carburetor, and as documented in a thread on this site, had VERY poor results, and even worse customer service. So it is not suprising to me that he shut down. It is a shame really, at one time he made a great product, obviously not so much lately.

I have a 650 dbl pumper demon I put it on my engine the thing fired right up and idled perfect, I changed the jets in the thing and it is all billit and built like a tank.........as far as carbs go I thing you either get one that works or its a pos no matter the brand.......

That is fine if it were just one carb, but 3 in a row, all with exactly the same problem? Totally unusable. There was no "fixing" it. Maybe they were having "equipment" problems at the time and could not afford to repair the machine that was milling, casting, cnc'ing or whatever, but there was a major flaw in the damn things, and there was no "customer service". Was basically told "Oh well".
