Hey senior citizen: over the next 20 years there is no party or president or immigration or abortion or gay marriage or gun policy that is going to affect you in any serious kind of way. After that you will be dead.
Nothing more pathetic than some old guy talking about how when he was a kid there was nothing but white people and stamps were only four cents. Probably people over 65 should not be allowed to vote. Best just shut up and let the young'uns manage their own future.

Are you talking about me, or white people in general?
Because, I don't remember posting anything about 19 cent per gallon gasoline and watching American Bandstand.
20 years? I can only hope.
As for the population shift, it's fact.
Let's hope that when you get old, you can still express your opinion without some young'un taking potshots..

Big talk. Anyone can claim their "willingness" to fight and die for liberty and freedom when there is no chance that they will be actually put to the test.

Well said.
But, with regards to letting the young'uns control the future, I don't know what your political views are, and it's really none of my business, but didn't the younger vote help decide the last two Presidential elections?
So, in retrospect, the youth are managing their future, and mine, as limited as that may be.

"there is no party or president"

Re: Draft of the Feinstein bill
Now-a-days its ok to lie about military and service medals. Was a law against it at one time. Nothing's sacred now with all the liberal judges in the courts.

And mainstream GOP is no longer Conservative. The only parties where it is now are 3rd parties. I even cringe when I hear Conservative in the same sentence as Christie. But given that, in this society, the main belief is to take advantage of everything, even if it'll cost you in the end. Would it be nice to demand the repeal of the unemployment extension so that we can bring down our debt? Sure. But, why do that when we can get paid 8 hours/day work while sitting at home, rather than taking a lower job. Now, Sandy is a bit different. The Jersey Shore, Staten Island and Long Island look like Katrina. You aren't taking money to make someone equal with others, you are taking money so that those people aren't a drain on everyone else (or more costly later on).

Was talking to a young man who moved here from Israel. He said everyone in Israel has to serve at least 3 years in the Military.
