Freeze plugs Help

I Had my 89 roller block boiled for upcoming rebuild/re-ring and for the life of me can't remember where some of these plugs went. Looking for some help. check these pictures and see if im missing any. I have 1 threaded plug left over from the freeze plug kit.

On this picture see the threaded hole in the painted area does this take a threaded plug ?

On this picture the side of the block beneath the freeze plug does this threaded hole take a threaded plug ?

Here is another shot of a threaded hole next to the top deck

Misc..pics

Weird, my 89 roller block doesn't have that threaded hole on the flat surface behind the intake. I'm betting on it being one of the two in the rear of the engine and not the one behind the motor mount.

I thought the one below the motor mount was an oil galley plug? I don't know, but I have never seen one on the top behind the lifter valley that I can recall?

Freeze plugs Help

I have never assembled a late model block but in pic #1 I have never seen that hole but pic #2 the hole is in a different location than a older block but commen sense tells me its a plug that drains coolant from the block. The typical freeze plug kits dont come with these plugs. Picture #3 looks like my older blocks and nothing goes in that hole. Pic #4+5 look fine to me, I have a older 302 block on a stand and I am comparing it to yours.

On my 460 engine that is for the oil sending unit.

Not sure on the small block though?

Well I may be wrong, can you purchase individual plugs? Maybe just plug them all?

Plug the hole in the side of the block by the oil pan.

You dont have to plug the hole on the top rear of the block.

I agree with fogged. You can get pipe plugs, that's what came in you freeze plug kit, at Home depot.

Plug the hole in the side of the block by the oil pan....

edit.... My memory is fading but I believe the drivers side goes into the oil and the passanger side doesn't... your photo looks like the passanger, you wont need to plug it if it is. I think I'm confusing myself, lol I might have it backwards

You dont have to plug the hole on the top rear of the block ....

EDIT.... If your going to use a clutch you might want to plug it to keep junk out.

If the holes are blind, don't worry about them.

Take a flashlight and look into the hole and see if it's open or blind.

Be careful installing the cup plug on top of the lifter feed cross over.

Too far down into the bore and you may partially close off the oil feed to the drivers side lifters.

The opening in the top of the block should be blind, I'm 99% sure its for the knock sensor the truck engines use.

The hole on top is definitely blind. I use it to ground the block to the ground strap coming off the firewall and the ground in the wiring harness.
