Thanks Dan,.....I was hoping the upgrade would not change the wheel position. I'm going to go ahead and order the entire kit,...it's a lot more affordable than the others, and I'm not experienced enough to mix and match valves and cylinders and boosters. I like one-stop-shopping,...and for $600 I don't think I can go wrong, that is assuming you're happy with the performance of the brakes.
Hope you had a good Christmas and again; thanks for taking the time to post one of the best techs I've seen in a long time.

Regarding the disc brake kit, the bolt pattern is the same as it uses 1970/1971 Galaxie ventilated discs. I took plenty of measurements when I was fitting it all up, and I wanted to know the same thing about the wheel position. It is exactly the same as original, so the track wont be altered. In other words, the wheel mounting position is the same.

One very important point to make about this kit. The kit itself bolts up very nicely and neatly to the front stub axles. Very simple indeed.
But if I did this all again, I would only purchase the caliper mounting kit, but find your own master cylinder and proportioning/combo valve.

    Cheers Dan.

Hi Dan,...Tommy here, I wanted to tell you how much we appreciated your thread on the disc brake conversion.

    http://www.fordmuscleforums.com/brak...onversion.html

I have two questions,....is the bolt pattern the same 5 X 4.5"? I'm sure it is but just wanted to make sure before I ordered it. I sent the same question to the guy selling them, but who knows if he'll answer. The other question....do you know if the face of the wheel mounting surface is at the same location. I just bought a new set of 15X7 Cragars and I sure would hate to find out they wont work with these rotors.

    Thanks again. And Merry Christmas!
