HI, new to the forum. Saw your post on your home grown hydraulic clutch conversion. Looking to do the same to my 67 mustang, 390 toploader. Would love to lose the Z bar. Assume the Wildwood slave cylinder just attached to the clutch for and you kept the counter spring? I get the angle iron for the support. Did master cylinder rod hook up to clutch pedal at standard point or any fabrication involved?
My son and I did this car for him when he was 17, he is now headed off to med school and going to take it with him so I want to clean up a few of the less satisfying aspects of the car. Next project is to clean up the steering but I have to get rid of that Z bar.
Hi,
I read your post on shaft mount rockers, I'm at that point in my build and wanted to know how the rockers are holding up. I understand it hasn't been very long but thought I'd ask anyway. I saw those same rockers and don't have the big $ for parts like most and figured it's worth a try. I see they have a upgraded version with bearings instead of bushings, that are not much more in cost. I believe I might go with those, any feed back would be great!
Thanks, Wally
Thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge with me. What years and cars clutch pedal will work? And What other parts would i need to make conversion somplete? Sorry to ask so many questions i just want to gather all the parts before i start workin on the car. Don't wanna come short and have to stop and wait for thenext part to come in. Hi Lars it's me Les your neighbor in SSF.. I just seen an old post that you converted you galaxy into a manual. Any leads on getting another set of clutch/brake pedal assembly? Or know of anyone or anything that will work just like you got from a 59? Thanks for your time
