1966 Mustang chassis dimensions

Does anybody have the chassis specs and dimensions for a 1966 mustang coupe? Or know where I could find them?

They should be in the back of the factory shop manual. Which of course you have? Correct? Stu

I've got the manual and yes the dim.s are there, but I don't have a scaner at home. If no one else gets it scanned I will Monday at work and post it. Good luck.

When viewing the pdf, resize to get the complete largest image on your screen, hit the "PrintScrrn" key on your keyboard. Open up your photo program and select "Paste". Crop the edges and re-size, and then "Save As". Now you have a photo.

Re: 1966 Mustang chassis dimensions

Hello everybody. Im new to this site and to any forum for that matter. I live in the Czech Repubic and I purchased a 1965 mustang, 200c.i., 4 spd. man. trans. I am doing a complete restoration and uppon taking everything apart, I found out the car was hit on the passenger side front. Thanks to the links below I was able to measure the chassis and everything seems to check out o.k. I notised however that a tubular bracket, right behind the engine support bracket is bent out of shape. I dont know what the name of the tube is and I will soon post a picture of it, but If anyone has this car and knows which tube I am talking about, I would like to ask what the measurement is from bolt hole to bolt hole (lenghwise). Since finding this part will be difficult for me and paying for shipping will be expensive, I plan to manufacture the bracket myself, just need to know the proper length. Plese help, thank you.

Re: 1966 Mustang chassis dimensions

That is the cross member that keeps the frame horns true to their proper separation.

It's held in by two 13/16" bolts that have beveled heads and when tightened holds the frame in a specific width.

They should be available form a mustang scrap yard. I need one for this 64.5 mustang I'm working on also....
