Re: 67 - 68 Coupe to Fastback Conversion

putting fastbacks on the street that are really coupes with washed VINs? These should be kit cars, and I feel sorry for the guy who gets dooped in 10 years when he buys a car and thinks its an original fastback. What a crock.
Just my 2 cents but I think this is a tragedy and just another sign of people doing anything for a buck.
wow.

Re: 67 - 68 Coupe to Fastback Conversion

I have a feeling that if you know a little bit about 60s mustangs, you would be able to tell a car with this conversion was NOT a real fastback real quick.

If anything, the coupe cars are going to become more rare because of all the people who want an "eleanor"

Re: 67 - 68 Coupe to Fastback Conversion

PLEASE STOP BUTCHERING THESE CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is...wait sorry WAS a local shop around here doing the ELENOR conversion on mustang fastbacks. Any mustang with a 2 week turnaround usually.....Yes, they looked even worse than you are thinking. I don't understand the infatuation with the elenor thing anyway. Who wants to hang fiberglass crap on a beautiful STEEL body anyway?? If you want to hack a bunch of crap out and make a few bucks stick with a Honda or something, it's hard enough to find a 67-69 mustang that's not a rot box or priced rediculus.

AND STOP POSTING YOUR ADS!

There’s another company that’s been converting 65-66 notchbacks to fastbacks using fastback roofs from totalled/rusted out cars. The only problem is that 09 is not in the notchbacks VIN number to make it a FACTORY FORD BUILT fastback. That is no big deal if you’re not looking for resale value and the answer is yes, my sentences run together without proper spelling or punctuation!

I said you can get a complete "fiberglass" body for 5K. The original post was was a fiberglass fastback roof for $5k. Why pay $5k for a roof when you can get the whole body?

You can get just a shell for $3900
