What is the difference between a 1985 mustang LX and the Police Interceptor version. Does anyone have any specs? A friend of my bought one and I am curious.

Pretty much an 5.0 car with some torque box reinforcement, certified Speedo, Blue hoses, Ect.

That's it? No engine or suspension mods? How about gears?

Police packages utilize the same engines as their showroom relatives. They add oil and tranny coolers, sometimes (mostly) there are computer/chip changes, and provisions for the equipment the police use, like better alternator to help run all of the electrics, etc. Some cars like the Crown Vics can be had with special bullet proof panels for police safety, and panels in the seats to protect them as well from whoever is in the back, and a whole list of other options depending on the needs of the department buying them.
