Looking only at the numbers, the B cam is just a hair shy of the F cam at .480" lift vs .512". If I added 1.7 rockers, that would get it up to about .510" lift. If I went with better springs than stock that would allow for the higher lift, would I have valve to piston clearance problems with the B cam and 1.7 rockers? And would it perform more like a B or and F?
you will be fine as long as you dont have the flat tops without valve cut outs but ya i ran a b-cam in my last stang (87) 5.0 with 1.7 rockers and man it sound sweeeeeet but you will be ok...
