'72 Ranchero Tonneau Cover

My bro-in-law is cleaning out his garage, finally. He has a tonneau cover for a '72 Ranchero.

Anybody here interested, and any idea of a fair price? It will end up on ebay if no one here is interested.

Let me know, I can get more complete details tomorrow maybe some pics.

Re: '72 Ranchero Tonneau Cover

I just had someone asking me to find them one the other day. I will forward the link to them. It should fit 72-79 Ranchero. The bed was the same for all those model years.

Re: '72 Ranchero Tonneau Cover

A little more detail on this tonneau, but no pics yet, sorry. Should have some in a day or so.

This is a one piece HARD cover for the Ranchero. White in color, camera case type of finish to it, hinges at the front. All mounting hardware is supposed to be there but I have not seen it yet to verify.

I am not sure of all the years this fits but it was originally installed on a '72. If it fits more years than that, well you all know that better than I do. It is used but I am told it is in great condition. I know, I know... get pics so you all can judge for yourselves. I'm working on it.

A fellow in Holland sent me a PM (thanks, Enrico) and is interested, but that was before I found out it is a hard cover. I have no problem arranging for shipping this overseas but it might be pretty expensive. I have no actual idea at this point how expensive tho'.

I thought in all fairness that I would post these details for all to see. Not trying to cause a ruckus or get more than fair money, or anything like that. Heck, I don't eeven know what he paid or when he bought it.

But I'm working on it.

Eric -

Ok, you absolutely have first refusal as far as I am concerned. I just feel better knowing I've done as much 'full disclosure' as I can.

I will work on getting pics to you as soon as I can, but it might not be until the weekend the way things are going. And, I will hold his feet to the fire to come up with a resonable price.

Re: '72 Ranchero Tonneau Cover

Eric -

Took me a little past the weekend but finally have some pics for you. I thought I would post them here so everyone can see and share their opinion of whether or not this is a good deal.

Brother in law would like $300 for the Tonneau. From what I have seen of the few others out there this seems reasonable to me, but you of course have the final say.

If you decide to pass it will probably land on ebay.

Here's the pics.

Let me know if and how you would like to proceed.

Re: '72 Ranchero Tonneau Cover

A company called Gaylord still makes 'glass covers for 72-77 Rancheros. For what it's worth.
