5,4 Rod, what good?

How good is 5,400 Rod in the 3,00 stroke for my 302?
I plan use forged rod and piston whit stock cranck.
What piston i need for 11,0:1 CR
The crack wil survive at 8K RPM?

You will need a custom piston to use a 5.40 with a 3"stroke.I turn 7500 rpms with my old 306 comb with a stock crank

I plan use the piston of the 351 strokers combination, (SRP 206059) whit 1,300 comp height, this wil work fine?. In my mind the comp ratio is 9,5:1, whrite?
I need other mod or only assembly and run?
Any interference to rod/camshaft
Cam Timing: TAPPET @.050 Lift:
Opens Closes Max Lift Duration
Intake 21 BTDC 47 ABDC 103 248
Exhaust 62 BBDC 16 ATDC 113 258

I dont know if a 351w piston will work in a 5.40 rod 306.I think you will have to go with a custom piston.

5,4 Rod, what good?

It looks concievable

5.4 Rod stock 5.090

1.5 Crank Centerline 1.50
1.3 Compression height 1.605

8.2 stock block 8.206 8.195 stock.

You compression might be 8.5:1 based upon these numbers estimated, they would have to be checked and verified. By cc'ing your heads and cylinder volumes etc.etc.etc..

65 cc heads
6.4cc valve reliefs estimated
4.030 bore
4.100 gasket bore
3.0 stroke
0.010 down in bore might actually be above bore

To get a 10.0:1 you would need a negative or domed piston that would desplace -7.345 cc. Or a smaller combustion chambered heads or many other combinations would also change the compression ratio as well. Mac
