cleveland or windsor

is it possible to build a 393c that has good low end torque and pull up to 5500 rpm. i know these engines need rpm to make power because thats how ford designed them. have a 72 mustang that i dont want to go lower than 3.50 gears. or should i go with a big inch windsor

Re: cleveland or windsor

You just said it yourself.

Stroke that Cleveland to 393 and you ALREADY got a good motor that has decent low end torque.

If you want 450 ft lbs of torque at 1500 rpms, you need a 460....

If $s are an issue, build a Windsor.

If you want something "different", and can afford to do it right, build a Cleveland.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm building a Cleveland BTW
