Recently converted my '65 Galaxie to disc brakes. Noticed that the '66 and '67 Galaxie with disc brakes uses the same style brake pedal pad as the '65 and '66 T-Bird.
A bunch of the T-Bird catalogs sell a reproduction of the rubber pedal pad. Ordered one from Mac's. To my surprise the T-Bird pedal pad bolts on to the brake pedal bracket instead of slipping over the pedal. I asked Mac's how I can remove the metal bracket and they said the rubber pad is molded onto the metal backing plate.
I've attached pictures of the reproduction pedal pad.
Can someone with a '65 or '66 T-Bird tell me the pedal does bolt to the bracket?

The factory manual for my '64-'66 bird shows a bracket attached to the back of the pad that gets bolted to the brake arm. I can't get to my cars till spring. Hope this helps. Ron W
