I am new to the FordMuscle community. Boy am I glad to find some other Ford/Torino people. I resently bought a '73 Gran Torino Sport with the 351 Cleveland and a 4 spd. I like the look of the car and intended on restoring it, but I have discovered that parts are hard to find. The car is from Arizona and is completely rust free. It does need paint badly though. It came with what I thought were original bucket seats, but I don't see this particular style in any books. From what I see, the original bucket seats looked alot like the ones found in '71 - '73 Mustangs. If anyone could give me some feedback on where to find parts such as seats, carpet, weatherstripping, etc. I would greatly appreciate it. I would love to find out more about Torinos, in particular the 73 Torino Sport "Q" code cars. Thank you.
Dearborn Classics is a good place for all things ford no one remakes your door panels sorry to say and a good set runs 300$ on ebay from back east.
Ive got the exact same car cept it is not a 4 speed
The factory buckets are the type that came in mustangs lets see pictures of yours and then maybe we can tell ya what yours are from BTW I have a set of factory seats for this car for sale if ya need them as ive got 3 torinos and 4 sets of seats.
Good choice. It takes but a bit of looking and you should find what you need. Those Cleveland's will RUN and the Q code is relatively rare. Best regards. John--Las Vegas.
I have to be honest, I don't know how to attach photos to a new thread. I would like to send you some pictures but I will need some coaching on the finer points of attaching files. All and any help greatly appreciated.
Host them somewhere like photobucket or imageshack, and post the link here.
