Question Re: timing set?

The only way one would know is to advance the cam and put it either on an engine or chassis dyno and compare the readings from a previous straight-up run.

Who in the world can guesstimate...

(I forgot - Half of those here can)

...the advantage of advancing a camshaft other than the early EGR engines?

Why would you buy an adjustable timing set when you don't have an application to use it on?

Re: timing set?

because the double roller set has the option of 4 retard, strait up,or 4 advance.did not buy it for that it just has the option to be able to....and the reason to ask is maybe some people have tried it on a 70ish 302 and have a opinion one way or the other.
