92-96 Cab Replacement

So my original intent was to have my body shop do this, but I've been waiting on them since September, and I'm tired of seeing the new cab sit in my driveway. So, any tips on replacing the cab? Any idea on weight or suggestions on lifting it into place? Minus glass, I got most of the goods stripped out to reduce weight but it still feels heavier than the bed. Also, since my cab came from a F-Super Duty w/ Diesel, any difference in the cab wiring harness between that and a F-150 w/ the I6 or do all cabs have the same harness? Since it looks like I'm doing this myself, I can also finally toss in the ZF I got without busting my knuckles on the cab.

Do your self a favor and strip her bare. Use all the wiring from your truck and not from the donor. They will be different. I have swapped a Bronco II 3 F series and one Bronco. Swap your dash intact. Use your heating system. Four guys can easily swap it. Are you using your fenders? Take the nose off in one piece. Can be done in a weekend if you put your mine to it and have a helper or two.

I was hoping to not have to play with the wiring, since the new cab has roof lights and my truck lacks them (it'd be nice to keep them). Any chance that the wiring to those lights can connect to my existing harness? Good to hear that once stripped I only need 3 other people to give me a hand (I was thinking 5 or 6 while unloading it).

Actually did a 77 Super cab with 4 people. That was a struggle. Cab lights will be no big deal. If you cant find that let me know I can walk you through that. Diesel wiring WILL be different. Swapping dash is with wiring is no big deal at all.

Alright, sounds simple enough. Hopefully I can get this done before the next snowfall and when it's above 40 (probably wishful thinking).

You can do it no problem.

4X4 Through Cab, Bolt chain or straps to front section, and lift with a pair of tri pods or cherry pickers...

Hundreds of ways to do it.

So, I finally have started to finish prepping the new cab by taking out the dash. My issue is, the passenger side looks like it'll come right out (pulls out easily). The driver side though feels as if there's a few bolts still holding it in. I got the bolts from the die cast piece at floor (unless I missed one?), all up top (both along the window and the row next to it), etc. Does the die cast piece need to be removed to get to other bolts? Are there bolts behind the radio? Any behind the fuse box? Can anyone list all the bolt locations on the driver side?
