Help with taillights?

I cant get the taillights to work on my 68 fastback with the shelby-style taillight assembly. Brake lights and turn signals work fine. Also no dash lights. All other lights ok. When I got the car the 4amp fuse was blown but I have replaced it and it hasnt shorted since. Any Ideas on where I can start to look next?

Just to put in my .02 I know you have most likely done this but some times the ovious is over looked so I would start with checking the bulbs in the instrament panel and the tail light them self as well as the fuse. I think the dash and the tail lights are the same fuse.

Yeah, the instrument cluster lights and tailights are linked on the same fuse. Recheck, probably the fuse is blown down by one of the ends of the fuse. Its hard to believe its anything else. But you never know.
