Stuck distributer

I have a 1987 Ford F250 with a 460. I can't adjust the timing because the duraspark dizzy is stuck. With all the brackets in the way, there is not a lot of room to get anything in there to grab it with out breaking the dizzy. I am looking for some ideas to try; even the Ford dealer didn't break it free. Help

Here's my halfass idea, maybe get the engine good and warmed up, and dump some ice cold cold water around the dist. base and block. Maybe the sudden temp change will break it loose, short of this, removing all the crap in the way and heating the area with an external heat source, then rapid cooling may be necessary.

Good Luck, Roadwarrior68

I soak the dizzy in penetrating oil at the base, then I leave the hold down bolt loose and drive the thing for a few days. Can usually go out after a day or two and lift the thing all the way out if ya wanted to.

Those that say it cant be done should say so quietly, so as not to disturb those who are doing it.
