99 Mustang rear power window problem

99 Mustang convertible. All power windows worked. Both rear windows stopped working at same time. Both front still work.

Diagnosis summary:
1. Fuses under dash appear OK (and I think same fuse handles all windows)
2. High amp breakers/fuses under hood all look OK

3. Rear window circuits draw amps when button pressed - I put amp meter on wires around switch - and can hear engine noise change when I hit button.

I can't believe both motors would fail at same time.

Anything else going on ?

Maybe switch in door is grounding out somewhere ? If so, why for both rear windows.

Appreciate any help !

If they haven't been used in awhile, try taking off the necessary panels so you can see the motors, and give each one a whack with a hammer. They'll probably work fine after that. I see lots of window motors that don't work because the contacts have gotten some corrosion from sitting. A smack loosens things up and they work fine.
