my stock fuel pump finally went out the other day, so i'll be upgrading to a high flow pump...i'm thinking about the edelbrock street pump for my 289...any experience with these? also, will my 5/16" fuel line be adequate for now or should i upgrade to 3/8"...approx. 300hp 289. thanks
Well - our's leaked oil after 5 months. Edelbrock tech sent me the repair parts - not a big deal. Pump worked for about 4 weeks more then quit. It's in a box on the bench, haven't torn into it to see why - been too busy. Not a ringing recommendation. I put the old stocker back on it and we've been racing that for months now. About a 240HP 302. I'd use 3/8 line anyway - most of the performance pumps use that size fitting. Depending on the car, your feed from the tank may only be 5/16".
i believe the sending unit is 5/16"...should i change that? if so, what is the best way to do this? just bend up a 3/8 line and solder it to the sending unit or weld one?? thanks
