Old 289 Pricing?

I am about to pull the 68' 289 2v from my fairlane sedan and I'm curious what the going rate for one is. The engine was running up until three weeks ago when I removed the front cover and accessories for another build. Stock as far as I can tell with about 70k miles.

Three years ago I sold my c code 289 for $200 or $250.00, then the guy paid a hundred for shipping.

Re: Old 289 Pricing?

My .02 cents worth.. if it's run 'o 'da mill and nuttin special, it's probably worth core charge, which goes for $200-$250, at least last time I checked.

Unless you have a way of proving the mileage and someone can run it, check compression, etc, anyone who buys it would probably be looking at some level of rebuild, which is why I say not much more than core.
