1966 Ford F100 V8
We have a 1966 Ford F100 that has been in a barn for about 4 yrs and the reason they stopped using it was that it would start smoking like it was going to catch on fire. I was out there the other day and thought I would see if I could get it to turn over and first hooked up the battery charger to it. The alternator started getting hot and smoking. My assumption would be the alternator but does anyone have any good advice or experience with something similar.
