Hub centric rotor question

I'm replacing the rear Versailles discs on my 66 with 95-04 Cobra discs.

I ordered the Caliper brackets from Northern Race cars and the kit includes a pair of centering rings that take up the gap between a stock axle flange and the I.D. of the Cobra rotors. I'm using Moser axles and the flange is smaller than the original axles, so the centering ring would flop around. The Versailles rotors did not fit tightly around the Moser flange either and it did not create any problems.

Can I rely on the studs to center the rotor, or should I make new centering rings with the correct ID to match the Moser axles?

Re: Hub centric rotor question

If you are using shouldered studs, and the rotors seat properly over them, you should be fine with that. If you are not and don't want to change to shouldered studs, or the rotors will not seat on the shoulder, then a proper centering ring would be the other option. You must use one or the other. What are the hub OD and rotor ID?
