AFR 205 head with damage...what to do?

I have a SBF 205 AFR cylinder head that suffered a blown head gasket between three cylinders requiring some welding repairs. Hopefully, the damage between the three combustion chambers can be seen. Instead of immediately dropping the head off at a “qualified” repair facility (which is a far drive away), I’d like to get a ball park price so as to have most of the funds together before hand. Personal price experiences are kind of what I’m looking for.

Re: AFR 205 head with damage...what to do?

Repairs could easily equal the cost of one new head , I appreciate your concern. That looks like allot of welding will be needed.

Re: AFR 205 head with damage...what to do & what caused it?

I have my thoughts as to what caused this, but I would appreciate any input.
